Studio sign two-year extension to agreement with Italian club

Following a fantastic first season of working together, Sports Interactive are delighted to announce that we have extended our partnership with Venezia FC.

Signing this renewal with the popular Italian outfit ensures that Football Manager branding will continue to appear throughout the Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium and that Venezia’s official kits, club logo and player faces remain fully licenced across our suite of titles.

The studio will also receive access to members of Venezia’s playing squad for social and digital content, allowing us to build on the excellent TikTok series produced with the club during the 2022/23 campaign.

Richard Trafford, Head of Partnerships and Business Development at Sports Interactive, said: “Venezia FC have been a pleasure to work with over the last ten months and we’re delighted to be partnered with them for another two years.

Thanks to the partnership, we were able to run a very memorable TikTok campaign whereby two members of our Social team managed the club in FM23 for a season. Their exploits culminated in a spectacular final episode that was filmed on location in Venice, including partly at the club’s recently opened state-of-the-art headquarters, Ca’ Venezia, in Mestre.

We were also able to work with Isaac Guerrero & Jordi Fernandez from the club’s Academy on a hugely insightful FootTalk that will be hugely influential of future titles in the FM series.

Venezia have gone from strength to strength on the pitch since we initially partnered up, making the Serie B play-offs last season and currently sitting near the top of the table this time round. Everyone at the studio is delighted to see the club in such a strong position and we wish them all the best for the rest of the campaign.”

Venezia FC’s Sporting Director & General Manager, Filippo Antonelli, said: “We are pleased to continue our collaboration with the Football Manager team into the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons. In the last season we have worked together on innovative activations that included the creation of an exclusive bundle and the development of social content such as the Walk Through which was greatly appreciated by the community. Furthermore, we have made available the knowledge of the Director of Youth & Methodology Isaac Guerrero and Jordi Fernández, Youth Sector Methodology Coordinator, to improve the game functions and make it increasingly realistic. We are the only Italian professional club to partner with Football Manager and being able to place our brand alongside the most important football management simulation in the world is a source of great pride for us.”.
