Position Overview

We are looking for talented testers and dedicated gamers to join a new team at Sports Interactive working on a mobile game and helping ensure the product is as high quality as it possibly can be.

As a QA Tester at Sports Interactive you’ll do more than just play the game. You will be assessing new features, analysing data, providing valuable feedback on gameplay and balance and offering support to our users. You will also be in close contract and communication with our development team, who you will be required to provide feedback to regarding features and bugs.

It’s a varied and rewarding role that requires a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. We have QA Tester roles available that cover:

  • Mobile gaming
  • Online functionality
  • User Interface/UX

All testing roles though will work across the entirety of the game

Our QA alumni are represented widely in both the games and football industries, as well as within the studio at SI. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain first-hand experience and kick-start a career in games or football.

This is a full-time, contracted role, that will be required to work remotely for the foreseeable future. We are looking for someone to join the team as soon as possible. You will need to commit to a 37.5 hour working week, working Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 18:00, with occasional paid overtime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Work independently to identify defects in the game
  • Provide considered, insightful written and verbal feedback on gameplay, balance and realism
  • Compile clear, concisely written bug reports
  • Test new features against design and verify fixes made to existing defects
  • Follow test-plans, check-lists and other tasks through to completion
  • Checking builds meet the required quality
  • Provide customer support to our online community via forums and social media channels

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE Previous experience in QA is not necessary, but existing skills in this area would be desirable.

A strong familiarity with Football Manager titles and a deep knowledge of football is expected, but we would consider candidates with expertise in other areas for specialised areas of testing (art, animation, user interface, UX).

The ideal candidate would also have:

  • A great attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, with a high standard of written English
  • A high level of computer literacy
