If you by accident installed a patch that was meant for the boxed release of Worldwide Soccer Manager on your digital download copy of the same product, then your WSM copy will ask you to insert a CD even though you haven't got one because you purchased the digital download version.

All you have to do in this case is to make sure you download the correct version of the patch meant for the digital download version (Digital River), and install it. You should not need to do a full clean and re-install - just installing the correct patch on top of the previous one should fix the problem.
