Sports Interactive and OOTP Developments go their separate ways Added on 20/09/2007 @ 15:00:00 in Press Release
Following on from the March release of OOTP Baseball 2007, Sports Interactive, the sports management development specialists and the German based OOTP Developments have announced that they are to go their separate ways, with immediate effect
"When we signed OOTP Developments back in 2004, we had every intention of creating a fully licensed product" commented Marc Duffy, Product Manager at Sports Interactive. "Unfortunately due to things beyond our control we were unable to achieve this and both parties believe that Markus and his team will be best served as an independent developer again.". "Working with Sports Interactive has been a great experience." said Markus
Heinsohn, lead developer at OOTP Developments. "We have learnt so much and the game has reached a level of quality that would have been impossible without the help of SI."
OOTP Developments have already begun work on the next instalment of OOTP Baseball, scheduled for release next spring. More information will be released shortly on their website www.ootpdevelopments.com.
Sports Interactive will now be concentrating just on football for the foreseeable future, with the Football Manager, Football Manager Live, Football Manager Handheld, Football Manager Quiz series and any other imaginatively titled games beginning with Football Manager.
The two teams close remain friends, and not just for the sake of the kids.
